The mattress industry is filled with components that make a great marketing story but do little to make the mattress better. The units we sell are not sprinkled with angel dust or made with copper infused wire, they are however all made by Texas Pocket Springs, a leader in pocket coil innovation.
Advantages of the QuadCoil innerspring, Manufactured by Texas Pocket Spring Technology, are as follows:
- The belt around the girth of the QuadCoil, ensures that all coils are held in an upright position, eliminating leaning coils, allowing each coil to perform 100% efficiently
- The QuadCoil eliminates the potential of layers of foam or other insulators from falling between the coils. Therefore, it is not necessary to glue a flysheet on top of the innerspring which creates noise and a trampoline effect.
- The belted QuadCoil creates a very stable innerspring unit that will keep its form and shape, both in the manufacturing process and in normal to severe mattress use.
- The QuadCoil eliminates hitching coils where adjacent coils hitch onto each other.
- Unlike conventional pocket coils which have a top closing seam, the belted QuadCoil has a center seam, eliminating false loft. Two rows of pocket coils are Ultra-sonically welded together by a weld through this seam (belt) which results in a weld through eight layers of fabric, this ensures a lifetime weld.
- Because the QuadCoil modules are made up of two rows of coils welded together, half the amount of glue is needed to bond the rows of coils together, which reduces the potential of the rows breaking apart by 50%.
- Our patented technology eliminates the need to turn the coil in its pocket. (The conventional way of producing a pocketed coil turns the coil in its pocket) We can therefore use a softer more pliable and less noisy fabric to create the pockets.
- When the coil is turned in its pocket the fabric can be damaged, allowing the coil to escape from its pocket damaging the mattress and potentially causing injury.
- Belted QuadCoil Technology prevents the migration of coils, ensuring a totally functional innerspring for the life of the mattress.
- Texas Pocket Springs only uses high tensile copper or nickel washed wire +/-300,000 pounds per sq.inch.
